DB receives 11,000 applications for 30 trainee driver roles from Spain
GERMAN Rail (DB) has welcomed 30 new trainee drivers from Spain, after running a successful campaign to attract new drivers from outside the country that saw 11,000 Spanish applicants apply for 30 advertised positions.

CN and CP revenues up in 2019, NS down
CANADIAN Class 1 freight railways Canadian National (CN) and Canadian Pacific (CP) both reported increases in revenue in their 2019 full year results while United States Class 1 Norfolk Southern (NS) reported a 1% decline compared with 2018 as it experienced a 5% drop in volumes.
