China approves $US 68bn inter-city plan for Pearl River Delta
CHINA’s National Development and Reform Commission (NRDC) has approved a Yuan 474.1bn ($US 67.91bn) plan to develop inter-city railway connections in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay area of southern China.

British rail operators reclassified as part of public sector
BRITAIN’s Office for National Statistics (ONS) has concluded that Train Operating Companies (TOCs) which entered into emergency measures agreements (EMAs) with the British and Scottish governments on April 1 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic should be reclassified as public non-financial corporations.
