Austria advances 1520mm-gauge to Vienna project
AUSTRIAN Federal Railways (ÖBB) and the Federal Ministry of Transport have launched a procedure to include the Austrian section of the proposed 1520mm-gauge line from Russia and Ukraine to Slovakia and Vienna in the legislation for high performance railway lines, the legal basis to conduct a detailed assessment of possible alignments for the project and to secure necessary funding.
