SÃO Paulo Metro (CMSP) has awarded Bombardier a Reais 171m ($US 106.1m) contract to supply its Cityflo 650 communications-based train control (CBTC) signalling solution for metro Line 5.

OC TRANSPO, the urban transit service for Ottawa, Canada, has selected Alstom to supply six new Coradia Lint low-floor dmus for operation the 8km O-Train north-south line between Bayview and Greenboro. The order is worth $C 34m ($US 34.4m) with the trains set to be delivered in 2013.

COSEA, the civil engineering consortium responsible for building the 302km Sud-Europ Atlantique (SEA) high-speed line in southwest France, has awarded a Euros 80m contract to Tata Steel to supply 84,000 tonnes of rail together with switches and crossings for the new railway.
